Reference is made to the above-mentioned subject, and in compliance with chapter four (Disclosure of Material Information) of Rule Book (Disclosure and Transparency) of CMA executive bylaws of Law No. 7 of 2010 regarding the establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activity and its amendments. Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait would like to disclose the Central Bank of Kuwait’s approval to increase the Bank’s issued and paid-up capital by KD 75 million by issuing 750 million shares at a nominal value of 100 fils each, in addition to a share premium of 100 fils per share, as well as amending the related Article (6) of the Memorandum of Association and Article (5) of the Articles of Association.
No immediate impact. Upon completion of the issuance Bank’s total equity will increase by KD 150 million with its CET1 and CAR ratios expected to improve by around 280 basis points (estimates). The actual impact will be disclosed after the completion of the issuance.
