Capital Markets Authority’s Approval of ABK’S Capital Increase

Reference is made to the above-mentioned subject, and in compliance with chapter four (Disclosure of Material Information) of Rule Book (Disclosure and Transparency) of CMA executive bylaws of Law No. 7 of 2010 regarding the establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activity and its amendments. Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait hereby discloses the approval of Capital Markets Authority to increase its capital from KD 274,865,010.800 to KD 349,865,010.800— with a cash increase of KD 75,000,000 (representing 27.29% of the Bank’s issued and paid-up capital)—by issuing 750,000,000 new shares. These shares will be offered at a nominal value of 100 fils each plus a share premium, with subscription priority rights granted to the Bank’s shareholders, each in proportion to their respective shareholdings. Noting that Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait will take necessary measures to complete the issuance.
No immediate impact. The actual impact will be disclosed after the completion of the issuance.
